Hawaii Department of Transportation Chooses Skire Unifier to
Manage $2 Billion Capital Improvement Program

Solution Enables Statewide Reporting and Tracking of
Multiple Contracts and Funding Sources

MENLO PARK, CA, November 8, 2007 –Skire, Inc. (www.skire.com), the leading provider of capital program, integrated workplace, and project portfolio management software, today announced that the Airports Division  of the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has selected Skire Unifier™ for managing more than $2 billion in capital improvement programs. Unifier will enable the HDOT Airports Division to simplify statewide tracking and reporting for capital improvement contracts and funding sources, as well as improve management for other capital and maintenance projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The agreement marks yet another win for Skire in the state and local government market this year, and the third airport agreement in recent months.

Skire Unifier will be used to track capital projects for 15 commercial and general aviation airports across six islands. Key to the deployment is the ability to manage data for dozens of federal, state, local, and private funding sources for projects in all phases of development. In addition, the solution will enable the HDOT Airports Division to easily manage contracts for design and construction consultants and contractors, rolling all data up statewide for reporting to the appropriate constituencies.

“Unifier will allow us to easily map our unique business processes to its powerful tracking, reporting, and document management capabilities,” said Dennis Higa, engineering manager for the HDOT Airports Division.  “It was the only solution that gave us both the ability to roll data up for statewide reporting and to drill down into detailed project data without requiring extensive customization or programming. This flexibility will accelerate our deployment and eventual expansion to tracking maintenance projects, as well as capital projects.”

Unifier will replace a previous project management system which lacked the flexibility to track costs to the program level. The Airports Division’s business processes have been established to comply with a wide range of federal and state process requirements. The Division is currently mapping these business processes into Unifier with minimal IT assistance and expects to begin active use of the platform within several weeks.

“State and federal reporting requirements are unique to each agency and can represent a challenge for agencies that seek to deploy leading-edge enterprise technology platforms,” said John Leet, Skire’s director of marketing. “We are delighted that the Hawaii DOT Airports Division chose Unifier and look forward to rapid, full deployment. This agreement validates Skire’s approach to designing a flexible platform that makes it easy for customers in any industry to quickly realize superior cost savings and efficiency.”

Skire Unifier is a powerful business process automation platform for managing programs, projects, resources, and assets. The platform centralizes comprehensive management capabilities and makes them available to everyone who needs them through a standard Web browser. With robust cost management and project controls capabilities, Skire’s Unifier delivers the best combination of pre-defined workflows, best practices, ease-of-use, and adaptability.
