Using Skire uDesignerT, Skire's award-winning application configuration tool, customers can easily configure folder and document attributes for use in Unifier's Document Manager. This flexibility enables them to easily tailor Unifier to capture the exact set of data they wish to associate with their file-based information. In addition, Skire has added robust functionality that allows appropriate Unifier users to determine which files and documents are published into Document Manager from any Unifier business process, offering another method of publishing documents into the system. Customers gain complete flexibility in how they organize, categorize, and manage document flow for easy tracking between documents and business processes.

The feature enhancements and additions in Unifier 8.7 were developed to respond to the changing needs and growing complexity associated with managing large-scale projects.

Skire Unifier 8.7 eliminates time-consuming navigation between document management capabilities and other processes, improving user productivity. Seamless integration between documents and business processes enables the user to initiate a new business process - such as a transmittal or change order request - and attach the relevant documents with a click, directly from within Document Manager. At the same time, integration enables the user to easily view which business process records are linked to a specific document in the Document Manager.

Skire also enhanced existing tools available to designers for managing CAD reference files. Enhanced reference file management functionality offers superior flexibility in linking base and reference files through dynamic or static relationships, greatly increasing the accuracy and efficiency of reference file management.

Customers can use new text search capabilities for gaining instant visibility into information, documents, and context for answering questions or resolving disputes. Unifier 8.7 significantly reduces the amount of time required to find appropriate documents and perform the high volume of ad-hoc or routine tasks associated with managing and tracking capital and integrated workplace projects. Reporting capabilities also have been enhanced, enabling users to report on all Document Manager document and folder attributes, metadata, and file comments.
